Pegasus Desktop Backgrounds

Similar to the above image, would you like to have one of the images below as your Desktop Background image? The files listed below contain all the required information to place a Boeing CH-47 helicopter, seemingly floating on the water, as your Windows Desktop background image.

As with everything in life, please follow the instructions:

             1. Make sure you have Active Desktop enabled on you computer.

                      a. Right click on your Desktop and select Active Desktop, then View as a Web Page. You may also want to set your Desktop Background Color to Black as it seems to give the best results.

             2. Make sure you have Java enabled on your computer.

             3. Download the desired file (select from those below). Unzip the file with a compression utility and place the results (3 files) in a subdirectory on your computer hard disk. The zip files create three new files when unzipped. The unzipped files must all be placed together in the same subdirectory. Remember the name of the directory in which you put them.

                   a. The zip files you will download contain:

                            1. Lake.class (Produces the moving water effect on the photograph. Do not alter the name of the file).

                            2. xxxxx.html (Where xxxxx is the name of the web page document that uses the Lake effect applet to render the image on the Desktop. Do not alter the name of the file).

                            3. xxxxx.jpg (Where xxxxx is the name of the photograph. Do not alter the name of the file).

                   b. If you need a Compression Utility for un-zipping the files - Click and Go Here.

             4. In Control Panel, select Display, Browse to find the files you downloaded and un-zipped, and set your Background to the xxxxx.html file you downloaded.

It is really a piece of cake. However, if you still have trouble, go back up to step one. If you are really bamboozled, send us an email and we will read it.

These files are written and known to work on a 300 Mhz computer with a Windows 98 Operating System and a 800 by 600 pixel monitor. However, they should work on just about any computer out there.

If you have your own Chinook photograph that you would like to have on your desktop in the Lake Effect setting, send us an email. We will re-program the file for you and send it back via email. Remember, the images above started out as an 800x600 jpeg, so the larger the photograph, the better it will look on your computer.
