C5 Loadout

 

             The Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter is air transportable. When available, and for a modest fee (about $500,000 per one way trip in year 2001 tax dollars), a United States Air Force C5 Galaxy aircraft can move a CH-47 from any large airport to any other large airport - anywhere in the world. Some disassembly, about 60 personnel, and 18 hours for the upload was required.
