Note: HUMS stands for Health and Usage Monitoring System. This system provided an active optical blade tracking system, airframe vibration analysis, component vibration analysis through various accelerometers, a Flight Data Recorder and a Cockpit voice recorder. Although in use for years in other countries, as late as 2003, this system was the standard on all Royal Air Force (RAF) HC-II aircraft. Beginning in September 2003, fielding began on some United States Army airframe systems, such as the UH-60 "Blackhawk" helicopter. |
