| Unit Patches and Decals |
![]() |
| In the past and present, many units around the world have operated the Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter with pride and distinction. Each unit has had a distinctive patch and its own unique history. |
|
| On this page are displayed many of those patches, which used to be worn on the right front side of the flight suit. Some units are still fortunate enough to be able to wear them. To view a medium or large size version of a patch, Click-N-Go on the link below the image. File sizes range from 250 Kb to 1.5 Mb each.Produced in 1964, the patch shown to the left was the first Chinook unit patch. | ||
| If you have the above patch in your possession, would you please get in contact with us? |
| One will note that many of the images are undated. If you know the time period in which the patch was worn, we would certainly appreciate the info. Be sure to include the reference number under each image so we know which patch you are discussing with us. |
| If you would like to see your unit patch and history displayed along with the rest of the units on this site, please forward us your patch and unit history. If you scan a patch to email to us, PLEASE, send it in at as large a size as possible (2000 x 2000 pixels or so), as high a resolution as possible (BIG IMAGES and LARGE FILE SIZE sizes indicate a high resolution - the bigger the better), in .jpg format with NO COMPRESSION, and on a WHITE background. This will save us a lot of editing time. Thanks and we would love to hear from you. |
| One Final Note: Please bear in mind that this page is a work in progress and not all of the Large Size Patch links are fully operational yet. Most of the Large Size Patches are still waiting to be edited and cleaned up, so they do not all look real pretty quite yet. There is much to be done...but we are gettin 'er done. |
